After Alana destroyed several templates made of other materials, Michael decided to solve the problem once and for all. He got on the phone, found a source for the perfect material, called a friend with industrial machining tools and made the perfect, indestructible, weaving template!
Custom milled for us out of Skatelite, an amazing, extremely durable material made from recycled cardboard and wood chips, (used for skateboard and BMX ramps) and held together with stainless steel hardware and aluminum bushings, our template is waterproof, rust proof, and fairly lightweight. (8 lbs) A built in handle makes taking it with you easy. Large and small holes forming 20”, 16”, and 12” diameter circles make this template is great for weaving large and small obelisks, peony cages and “grow-throughs,” pot covers, and round creels.
