Salix purpurea "Dark Dicks” - A fairly tall, very attractive willow, with dark purplish-red stems on new growth. The beautiful stem color lasts throughout the growing season. This variety is considered a good, larger basketry willow, but is also very nice as a landscape willow, and would make nice fedges. One of the last varieties to drop its leaves in the fall and one of our top picks for landscaping. As are all purpureas, this variety is DEER RESISTANT.
